The Meadow Lake RCMP has arrested a man they have been searching for since the early spring.
On May 16, police were investigating a complaint in the city when they noticed a suspect with arrest warrants running from a residence. After briefly pursuing the suspect on foot, officers arrested Brenden Tyler Yew. A search of the suspect revealed he was in possession of cocaine.
Yew has been charged with resisting arrest, failing to reply with release conditions, possession of cocaine with the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.
After appearing in court on May 17, Yew is scheduled to return to Meadow Lake Provincial Court on May 31 for a bail hearing.
