Province reports 85 new cases, no new deaths over past three days

The province reported a combined 85 new cases of COVID-19 today and over the weekend, as well as 206 combined recoveries.

Thirty-three new cases of COVID-19 and 55 recoveries were reported in Saskatchewan on July 17, 36 new cases and 114 recoveries on July 18, and 16 new cases and 37 recoveries on July 19.

No new deaths were reported over the past three days.

This brings the provincial total to 49,450 cases; 48,613 total recoveries and 262 cases are considered active.

There are currently 131 active cases of COVID-19 in the six northern zones of the province, exactly half of all the active cases in the province’s 13 zones.

One Saskatchewan resident that was tested out-of-province was added to the Saskatoon zone. One case with pending residence was assigned to the North Central zone.

NITHA Data

As of July 18, there are 70 active cases of COVID-19 in NITHA communities.
These cases are located in the Far North Central (Athabasca), six; Far North West, 27; Far North East, 33; North Central, one; and North East, three.

There are 36 active cases of COVID-19 Variants of Concern (VOCs) in NITHA communities. These cases are located in the Far North Central; four, Far North West, eight; and Far North East, 22; North Central, one; and North East, one.

There are 3,846 cases (97%) that have recovered, and three people are being hospitalized.

Vaccines Reported

An additional 18,536 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been reported in Saskatchewan over the past three days; 9,406 on July 17, 6,406 on July 18, and 2,704 today. This brings the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,350,671.

Over 600,000 people are now fully vaccinated in the province.

Seventy-four per cent of those 12+ have received their first dose and 59 per cent of those 12+ are fully vaccinated.
