Province reports 43 new cases of COVID-19 and one death

The province is reporting another 43 new cases and 23 recoveries from COVID-19 in Saskatchewan today.

Another 46 new cases and 19 recoveries were also reported on Saturday, July 24 and another 27 new cases and 31 recoveries were reported on Sunday, July 25.

This brings the provincial total to 49,727 cases; 48,792 and 356 cases considered active.

There are currently 230 active cases in the six northern zones of the province.

One new death was reported today on Monday in the 40 to 49 age group from the North West zone with another death reported on Saturday, July 24.

NITHA Data

As of July 25, there are 136 active cases of COVID-19 in NITHA communities.

These cases are located in the Far North Central (Athabasca), 20; Far North West, 87; Far North East, 28; North Central, 0; and North East, one.

There are 71 active cases of COVID-19 Variants of Concern (VOCs) in NITHA communities. These cases are located in the Far North Central; six, Far North West, 56; and Far North East, nine; North Central, 0; and North East, 0.

There has been 3,888 cases (96 per cent) that have recovered, and six people are hospitalized.

Vaccines Reported

An additional 2,542 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,388,330.

This provincial vaccine total also includes 6,856 new doses that were reported on Saturday, July 24 and 4,722 new doses that were reported on Sunday, July 25.

Seventy-four per cent of those 12+ have received their first dose and 62 per cent of those 12+ are fully vaccinated. Over 630,000 residents of the province are not fully vaccinated.
