CPCA wraps in Little Pine, off to Frog Lake
The CPCA wrapped up week four of the 2021 season in Little Pine First Nation and the race for first place is getting increasingly competitive.
Danny Ringuette of Bonnyville, Alta., took home the aggregate win over the weekend with a total time of 03:46.26. He edged out veteran drivers BJ Carey of Lloydminster, Logan Gorst of Meadow Lake and Todd Baptiste of Red Pheasant Cree Nation.
The win was significant for Ringuette for several reasons. Not only was this the first show in of his seven-year career, but he now sits in second place with 478 points, only three back of Gorst and 25 ahead of Ryan Baptiste. Ringuette’s best overall finish on tour was seventh in 2019.
