Meadow Lake continues receiving funding for policing initiatives
Local crime reduction initiatives continue to receive provincial funding support as the City of Meadow Lake is provided $770,000 through the Municipal Police Grants program in 2021/22.
The investment will support seven existing police positions in Meadow Lake.
In a media release, Meadow Lake MLA Jeremy Harrison spoke on behalf of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety Minister Christine Tell, reinforcing the commitment to providing police services resources needed in the community.
“This investment demonstrates our government’s continued efforts to prioritize public safety,” he said.
