Coast 2 Coast Closeup – Jenn Sheppard

Jenn Sheppard is a passionate singer/songwriter from Cape Breton Island Nova Scotia, who has performed with Heather Rankin (Rankin Family), Bette MacDonald  (Mr. D, CBC TV), Lucy MacNeil (The Barra MacNeils), Sam Moon, Matt Minglewood, The Men of the Deeps, Jason Price, Aaron C. Lewis, Matt Andersen and many others; both on stages and in studios. She has also co-written alongside one of Cape Breton’s most beloved songwriters, Fred Lavery.

In April of 2021, Jenn finally found time to put her energy towards recording her original music. With the help of producer Stephen Muise, and Engineer Mike “Sheppy” Shepherd of Lakewind Sound Studios, Jenn completed a 13-track album, titled The Good Ground  (©JennSheppard 2021, MAPL)

The album features stellar musicians Brian Talbot, Stephen Muise, Fred Lavery, Em Dingwall, Richard Burke, Steve MacInnis, Ken Howatson, Colin Grant (of Hauler) Darren McMullen (of Coig) and the award-winning Gordie Sampson  . It also features the vocals of Margaret MacPherson and Jordyn Crocker.
