Saskatchewan Country Closeup – Jay & Jo

There are few things that nourish an honest and fruitful creative life more profoundly than a shared childhood. Canadian sisters Janaya McCallum and   Trudel were fortunate enough for their musical careers to have just such a genesis. Blooming from a youth filled with family band tours, farm life, and motorhome writing sessions, their contemplative soul-folk duo, Jay & Jo, was born in 2016. Known for their airtight familial harmonies, dreamlike melodies, and storyful songwriting, the duo quickly developed a unique and buoyant sound that sprouted forth from many years of shared experience and song.
