To say Caves was a well thought out, typical journey for a Canadian band, would be a stretch. Caves formed in the fall of 2014, with their first ever performance being at the Air Canada Centre for a crowd of 14,000+. “The journey for Caves has been anything but ordinary, but its been a testimony to how blessed we’ve been,” says singer/songwriter Josh McCabe.

Fast forward to 2017 when Josh gathered touring members Dan Perna (Drums), and Brandon Vandandool (Guitars), to start making the follow up record. The group began pursuing new sounds, new ideas, and new themes, while still remaining true to the vision of Caves. With songs being completed, Josh still felt like the time wasn’t right. “I kept trying to figure out the perfect strategy to release new music, and of course its never perfect, so nothing happened. I needed to get back to why I started Caves, and that’s to release music when I want, and because I want to”.

Hailing from Guelph, ON, Caves brings a mix of rock, country, while adding some gospel elements to their songs. Their songs tell honest stories about life, faith, and endurance in even the most difficult of seasons. They share messages of hope even in the midst of brokenness.
