One arrested, one missing in City Convenience thefts investigation

The Meadow Lake RCMP have made an arrest in the theft and bear mace incident at City Convenience from Monday, while one suspect remains at large.
Police enacted the arrest after acting on information from the public. A youth faces numerous weapons related charges after two people repeatedly robbed the store on Sunday and Monday. The series of thefts in less than 40 hours culminated in one of the suspects assaulting an employee with bear mace.
The RCMP are still looking for a second youth, who can’t be named because of their age. S/Sgt Ryan How thanked the public for their assistance.
“[The] information was essential in bringing this investigation to a point where charges could be laid.”
