Rainfall, wind warnings in place in some areas of Saskatchewan
Areas of northern Saskatchewan remained under rainfall warnings Wednesday morning, while a wind warning was in place for the southwest corner of the province.
According to Environment Canada, heavy rains were expected in areas around La Ronge, Prince Albert National Park, Narrow Hills Provincial Park, Meadow Lake, Pierceland, Pelican Narrows, Beauval and Southend.
The weather service said the system was expected to dump 50 to 70 millimetres of rain on the areas by Wednesday evening. The rain is expected to ease Wednesday night, but wouldn’t end completely until Thursday night.
