North West College donates computers to local charity
A non-profit in Meadow Lake is getting an equipment upgrade thanks to North West College
The college is donating six computer systems to the Meadow Lake Outreach Ministries, an organization that provides services like the Door of Hope, Meadow Lake Foodbank, Tiny Treasures Daycare and more. President and CEO Eli Ahlquist said in a release that the post-secondary institution strives to support the community when needed.
“Our IT department were in the process of updating our internal systems, and we had some lightly used computers that were no longer required”, he said. “What better way to support a local charity than by helping them to offset the cost of this investment.”
Other services provided through Outreach Ministries include The Hope Center Apartments, Tiny Supportive Apartment Family Education (SAFE) and the ThriftHOPEia Variety Store. Director Natanis Bundschuh said this upgrade is something they’ve been trying to accomplish for years.
