Shawn Oates is an artist who has proven his resilience time and time again, and owes it to music to giving him a fighting chance. Today, the Alberta-based artist looks to give back; helping others feel good about life through his music while simultaneously injecting his own brand of soul and emotion into Country music.Pivoting his sound around themes of love, life, and good times, Oates’ positive strain of country music is rooted in soul and feel-good vibes. He has opened for Jess Moskaluke and The Trews, in addition to teaming up with hit songwriter and award-winning producer, Jeff Johnson. His single, ‘Outta This Town’, release in April 2022 hit 50,000 streams and gained him many TV appearances, publicity and a new fans. His latest single “This One’s On Me” is now available everywhere and gaining thousands of streams in mere days.. This quick rise led him to a showcase at the CCMA’s this summer in Calgary, a music video and a headlining show at the award winning Cook County Saloon.
