Ongoing search at site of submerged truck

Highway delays north of Meadow Lake will continue throughout the day as first responders search the scene of a single vehicle rollover in the Beaver River.
The bridge crossing roughly two kilometers south of Pagan Lake on Highway 903 was shut down last night following a truck rollover. It reportedly had driven off the bridge and was completely submerged in the river.
Police were dispatched to the scene around 7:00 p.m., where they found a man standing atop the vehicle. He was pulled to shore by RCMP members with a rope and transported to hospital with injuries.
A woman is currently unaccounted for and the search for her is ongoing. However, first responders are unable to enter the river safely to search inside the truck, due to the water current and depth; close to 10 feet. As a result, efforts are being made to remove the truck from the river and the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team has been deployed to assist with the search in the water.
