Coast 2 Coast Closeup – Laurie LeBlanc

One of the most successful country music artists in eastern Canada, New Brunswick-based Laurie LeBlanc raised his profile significantly in 2020 with his first all-English album When It’s Right It’s Right, containing the hit singles All In, Another Night Like This, and Where Gone Girls Go.

He’s set to follow it up with Long Weekend, a double-EP comprised of six brand new songs in English, and six in French – to be launched on August 19. Working with top producer Jason Barry once again, Laurie crafted the songs to convey a feel-good summer vibe in both languages. It’s all there in the second single, Long Weekend. Co-written by LeBlanc and his wife Jeannette, the song gives us the feeling of freedom and fun, the kind that Long Weekends give us.

Long Weekend has Laurie poised to build on the accolades garnered for When It’s Right It’s Right, which included two East Coast Music Award nominations for Country Recording of the Year 2021 and Solo Recording of the Year 2022, along with four Josie Music Awards nominations and three new nominations from the Canadian Francophone Country Awards Gala.

Having now found his place within the English country music scene, there will be no stopping Laurie LeBlanc as his dynamic voice and undeniable charm continue to build his fan base around the world. And who doesn’t look forward to a Long Weekend?: “Long Weekend” is 2nd single off the new album .
