Nov 1, 2022 | 8:59 AM

Multiple award-winning country star Gord Bamford is coming to Meadow Lake. It is all part of his Kick COVID In The A** Tour Part Two.

The tour has six stops and started on Oct. 21 in Hanna, Alta. It wraps on Dec. 3 in Eckville, Alta. Saturday’s concert in Meadow Lake will be the third in the tour and one of two dates in Saskatchewan. Bamford will play Warman, Sask. on Nov. 26.

Gord Bamford is well known for his charity work. His foundation has raised over $5 million for charity over the past 15 years. Kick COVID In The A** Part One raised $143,000 for more than a dozen groups in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

In a media release Gord Bamford said the success of the Kick COVID In The A** Part One prompted part two.

“We had a blast touring the first leg of the Kick COVID in the A** tour this past spring. It was great to meet so many fans and involve the local community groups. We’re back at it and looking forward to bringing the Kick COVID In The A** Pt 2 tour to a small town near you. See ya on the road,” he wrote.

Meadow Lake Kinsmen Club past president Geoff Barton said the event is a fundraiser for the service club and the money raised will be used for various local projects. He added tickets are going fast.

“There’s a few tickets left. We’re hoping for a sellout. So, they’re not going to be, I don’t think they’ll be available much longer,” he said.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Meadow Lake Civic Centre. The opening act, award-winning country artist, Duane Steele takes to the stage at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at gordbamford.com
