The bitter cold has returned to Saskatchewan.
Environment Canada issued extreme cold warnings Tuesday morning for central and northern areas of Saskatchewan.
“Temperatures in the minus thirties combined with winds of 10 to 15 km/h will lead to extreme wind chills near -40 C as an arctic ridge of high pressure settles into the region,” the weather agency said.
Meanwhile, southwest Saskatchewan including Shaunavon, Maple Creek and Cypress Hills was under a winter storm warning Tuesday morning with snow and blowing snow causing hazardous winter conditions.
