Snowfall warnings issued for northern Saskatchewan
After areas of southern Saskatchewan were battered by a winter storm over the weekend, regions in northern Saskatchewan are set to get their share.
On Monday, Environment Canada issued snowfall warnings for areas of the north, including Prince Albert National Park, La Ronge, La Loche, Pelican Narrows and Cumberland House. The warning remained in effect Tuesday afternoon.
“Snowfall will begin tonight and intensify overnight,” the weather service said Monday afternoon. “Heavy snowfall will continue through the day on Tuesday. Generally, a total of 10 to 20 centimetres is expected, however, some localities could see up to 25 cm of snow by Tuesday night.”
The alert said the snow should ease by Wednesday morning.
