Woman charged in Patuanak homicide

A 22-year-old woman has been charged with one count of second-degree murder in a suspicious death in Patuanak last Friday.

Meadow Lake RCMP say they have charged Brittany Bear with the killing of Brandon Dawatsare, age 26.

Bear was arrested on March 16 and appeared in Meadow Lake Provincial Court this morning.

Police got the first report of an injured man at a home in the community at about 1 a.m. on March 15.

He was later pronounced dead by EMS at the scene.
