Pair charged after Meadow Lake drug bust

An 18-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man, both from Meadow Lake, were arrested last week after RCMP found cocaine, meth and drug trafficking paraphernalia in a vehicle.

Officers pulled over a vehicle on Ninth Street in Meadow Lake on June 22 at about 8:30 p.m. as part of a drug trafficking investigation.

After more investigation, officers seized 45 grams of meth and about 16 grams of cocaine along with items associated with trafficking.

An adult female at the scene resisted arrest, however officers took her into custody without further incident.

The following day, officers arrested the 36-year-old man in connection with the incident.
