Four charged after weapons complaint at Flying Dust First Nation

Four people have been charged with multiple fire arms-related offenses after a man was seen making threats on Flying Dust First Nation Tuesday afternoon.

Meadow Lake RCMP, with the help of Loon Lake RCMP and the Flying Dust First Nation community safety officers, responded after the man was seen in a vehicle with three others near a community event. In the vehicle, police found a loaded semi-automatic gun and two loaded magazines.

A 27-year-old, 24-year-old, 29-year-old and 32-year-old from Meadow Lake, are each charged with: – one count of knowingly occupying a vehicle with a firearm, one count of unsafe storage of a firearm, one count of possessing a firearm with serial number removed, and one count of possessing a firearm knowingly without a license.

The 29-year-old has also been charged with: one count, assault with weapon, one count, uttering threats, and six counts, possession of a firearm and ammunition while prohibited.
