Dispute lands woman in hospital, man in jail

An altercation between a man and a woman on the Big Island Lake Cree Territory ended with the woman taken to hospital and the man behind bars.

Pierceland RCMP said they were called ot a home in Big Island at around 3 p.m. on Nov. 2.

When they arrived, they found an injured woman who was then taken to hospital by EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers described the assault as serious.
