Fight inside home in La Loche home results in aggravated assault charge

A man appeared in La Loche Courtroom earlier Monday after being charged with multiple counts including aggravated assault of a man this past weekend.
The Dec. 14 incident involved a fight between the two men at a La Loche home and after an investigation, the 36-year-old was arrested the following day, Dec. 15 on Lemaigre Street.
The injured man has since been taken to hospital. Arresting officers found and seized two weapons and later learned that he broke into a home the day prior to the fight and broke a vehicle window the day after.
In addition to his assault charge, the man also faces one count of break and enter to a residence, three counts of mischief, one count of possession of a concealed weapon and one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
