Meadow River bridge to be rebuilt in new year

The new year is set to be a busy construction time in Meadow Lake and starting Jan. 3, the Meadow River Bridge, located on HWY 903 is set to be replaced.

According to a Voyent Alert, it is located north of the HWY 55 junction and while the work is being done, a temporary detour bridge will be set up and traffic will be slowed to 60km/h.

The release said once the bridge is set up, construction will begin on the new bridge around Jan. 6 and is expected to be reopened in February.

Meanwhile, resurfacing will happen later this spring.
