La Loche drug bust ends with trafficking charge
A woman has been charged with drug trafficking after Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team (CRT) and La Loche Detachment seized over 30 grams of crack cocaine.
The incident stems from a Jan. 29 search warrant at a home in the George Crescent area of La Loche. Upon entry, the officers discovered roughly 32 grams of crack cocaine, $1,500 in cash, and other items related to trafficking.
While five people were arrested, four were subsequently released without charges. A 46-year-old La Loche woman has been charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
She is scheduled to appear in provincial court in La Loche on March 10.
