Updated: Multiple stabbing incident on Big River First Nation

Update 10:49 p.m. – RCMP are trying to determine if three separate stabbing incidents that took place on Big River First Nation Saturday are random in nature. Two victims have been transported to hospital for treatment of injuries.

The suspects are two men. The last confirmed sighting of them was around 5:30 p.m. in the Victoire, SK area, which is about an hour northwest of Prince Albert. Police said they may be driving a black KIA car with Saskatchewan license plate 649 NPP OR a grey BMW SUV.

One of the suspects is described as approximately 5’8” tall and 150 lbs. He has brown eyes and brown hair.

Police are asking the public to report sightings of 29-year-old Ryan Lachance, who is wanted on warrant by Big River RCMP. Lachance is described as approximately 5’6” tall and 150 lbs. He has brown eyes and brown hair and has a teardrop tattoo under his left eye. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with a large white logo on it, and black pants.

The suspects are considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached. If you see them call 911 in case of emergency or 310-RCMP.

In the meantime, Saskatchewan RCMP advise there is an increased police presence on Big River First Nation in relation to this investigation. People are asked to avoid the areas where police officers are present and follow any police direction provided.

Big River RCMP have responded to multiple stabbing incidents on Big River First Nation, (also known as Whitefish) and Victoire,

Big River RCMP said two suspects are at large and considered dangerous with weapons. Two suspects have fled on foot but may be travelling in a Black Kia Optima 649 NPP – SK or a greyish BMW SUV.

The public is being advised to secure all premises, and report any suspicious activity.

The suspects outstanding are Ryan Lachance and Kenneth Joseph.

If you see the suspects, do not approach but advise the RCMP if you are aware of their location.
