UPDATED: Wanted Meadow Lake man arrested in Edmonton

Saskatchewan RCMP reported that 30-year-old Brenden Tyler Yew was arrested by police in Edmonton on May 6.

He has since been transported back to Saskatchewan and appeared in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on May 15.

Mounties are looking for Brenden Tyler Yew, who is facing a long list of serious charges, including firearm offences, assault and failing to comply with a release order.

Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers says the 30-year-old is wanted for possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, unsafe storage of a firearm, tampering with a firearm serial number, assault with a weapon, uttering threats and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

He also faces charges of possession of a weapon contrary to a court order, assault and breaching release conditions.

Yew is described as 5-10 and about 220 pounds. He is from the Canoe Narrows and Jans Bay area but may be in Meadow Lake or Edmonton.
