Meadow Lake man charged after dragging victim with stolen vehicle in Saskatoon
A 22-year-old man from Meadow Lake is facing several charges after a hit and run in Saskatoon that left a person injured and multiple vehicles damaged.
According to the Saskatoon Police Service, officers were called around 7:30 a.m. on July 23 to the area of Avenue C North and 39th Street West after a report of a hit and run involving an injured pedestrian.
Police said a man had been dragged by a vehicle while trying to stop it from being stolen. During the incident, the suspect vehicle hit several parked cars before colliding with another vehicle in the 1700 block of Avenue G North. The suspect then fled on foot.
Officers located the man in the 1200 block of Avenue J North shortly afterward and arrested him following a brief struggle.
