Operation Red Nose

Dec 29, 2025 | 9:06 AM

Go out and have a good time during the holiday season.

Make sure the good times can happen again by always finding a safe ride home for yourself and others.

Operation Red Nose (ORN) is another great way to find a safe ride. Plus, they bring your vehicle home with you by driving it for you.

SGI sponsors the program, which currently runs in The Battlefords, Prince Albert and Saskatoon. To arrange a safe ride, call the applicable number below:

  • The Battlefords: 306-445-1020 or 306-441-4676
  • Prince Albert: 306-763-6673
  • Saskatoon: 639-480-6673

How the service works

For the holiday season, ORN will operate on select dates between late November and December 31, as listed on their site and mobile app.

Call them for a free ride home if you’re impaired.

A team of 3 volunteers – co-ordinated through the local Lions Clubs in the Battlefords, Prince Albert and Saskatoon – will pick you up and drive you, in your own vehicle, to the destination of your choice. A volunteer drives your vehicle, a 2nd volunteer navigates and a 3rd volunteer follows in an escort vehicle to pick up the 2 volunteers once they drop you off.

The service is free but donations are accepted with 100% of client donations going towards local youth or amateur sport organizations.

In your community

If your community is interested in taking part or you’d like to volunteer in an existing ORN community, visit Operation Red Nose or contact their national office at 1-800-463-7222.
