Two charged after police pursuit leads to seizure of firearms, drugs, and impaired driving arrest

RCMP have charged two men after firearms and methamphetamine were found in a vehicle with an impaired driver.  

On March 19, around 12:20 a.m., an RCMP officer on patrol attempted a traffic stop in Loon Lake. The vehicle with two occupants fled from police and headed southbound on Highway 16. The vehicle eventually stopped a short time later on Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation.  

The officer observed signs that the driver was impaired and arrested him. RCMP then located and seized a small amount of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, a loaded firearm magazine, a can of bear mace, and two firearms. The second occupant was also arrested.  

The driver, 24-year-old Bradi Mitsuing from Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation, is charged with:  

  • one count, flight from peace officer 
  • one count, operation of conveyance while impaired 
  • one count, operation of conveyance with more than 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood 

He also received multiple traffic-related tickets and a ticket for having open alcohol in a vehicle. 

Mitsuing was also found to have an outstanding warrant with Lloydminster RCMP. He is scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on May 7. 

The passenger, 23-year-old Keeton Partridge from Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation is charged with:

  • three counts, weapons possession contrary to order 
  • three counts, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose 
  • two counts, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle 
  • one count, possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition without license 
  • two counts, carry concealed weapon 
  • one count, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized 
  • two counts, unsafe storage of a firearm 
  • one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking 

He is scheduled to appear at Meadow Lake Provincial Court on March 23.
