Two charged after RCMP seize suspected methamphetamine hidden in pizza box
It certainly wasn’t the topping police expected to find when they opened a pizza box after a recent traffic stop: meth.
On March 28, RCMP conducted a traffic stop in the town of Battleford in relation to an ongoing investigation by Unity RCMP.
The vehicle was towed to a secure police facility after officers obtained a search warrant. During that search, officers seized approximately 126 grams of suspected methamphetamine hidden in the pizza box. The substance will undergo further testing.
As a result, 70-year-old Melvin Abramson from Wilkie and 26-year-old Micayla Jimmy from North Battleford have each been charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine.
