Winners hiring points to new store in North Battleford

Apr 29, 2026 | 10:53 AM

Job postings from retail giant TJX Companies are signalling plans for a Winners store in North Battleford, reinforcing earlier indications of a major retail development at the city’s Frontier Centre.

Postings on TJX Canada’s website show the company is hiring a store manager and assistant store managers for what is described as the “upcoming opening of a new Winners store” in the city.

The listings reference a location at 11423 Railway Avenue East and identify the site internally as “Winners Store 0528 North Battleford SK.”

The store manager role is described as leading the launch of a new location, including overseeing staffing, operations and sales performance, while assistant managers would support day-to-day operations and team development.

The postings list salary ranges from about $48,000 to more than $114,000 annually, depending on the position and experience.

In an April 20 Facebook post, TJX Canada Careers also stated it is “thrilled to share that our first WINNERS store is opening in the community.”

The hiring activity follows an announcement earlier this year from Terracap Group, which is redeveloping the Frontier Centre mall. During a State of the City address in March, the developer said it plans to build a new 22,000-square-foot retail store at the site as part of a multi-million-dollar investment, though the retailer was not identified at the time.

Despite the hiring activity and public messaging, neither the City of North Battleford nor the developer has confirmed that Winners will be the tenant for the new space.

The city did tell battlefordsNOW that it cannot release identifying business permit details due to privacy requirements, noting disclosure rests with the applicant.

Construction appears to be underway at the site, but no timeline has been provided for when the store could open.
