Three charged

Traffic stop leads to drug, weapons seizure and multiple charges

Illicit drugs and trafficking paraphernalia were seized by Meadow Lake RCMP during a traffic stop on Thunderchild First Nation.

On May 11, at approximately 5:45 p.m., RCMP initiated a traffic stop after noticing an SUV that matched the description of a stolen vehicle, which the investigation determined was stolen. Officers arrested the vehicle’s three occupants.

During a search of the SUV, RCMP located and seized 94 grams of methamphetamine, 11 grams of cocaine, drug trafficking paraphernalia, an imitation firearm and other weapons.

one count, possession of an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence
one count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
three counts, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine

Jimmy has additionally been charged with:

one count, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
two counts, fail to comply

They appeared in Onion Lake Provincial Court on May 13.
