Riders kick off the season in style!
The CFL as we know may be in its final year, but it looks like it wants to go out with a bang.
The World Cup has forced some adjustments to the CFL schedule with just three games on three days in week one, then again last week in week 2. With one game a day running from Thursday to Saturday, the result was a second straight week of entertaining games played on the 110-yard field.
Hamilton kicked things off with a 37-27 win over Win A Pig at Princess Otto Stadium. Hamilton did not look like a contender in their week one loss to Montreal while the Blue Bombers were booking their Grey Cup parade routes after beating an understaffed Calgary Stampeders.
With the game in Princess Otto, I even thought the Bombers would win that game, but Hamilton exposed the holes in the Bombers defense and to an extent the offense and managed to pull their season out of the ditch by evening their record at 1-1.
