Drug and Alcohol Awareness Walk – Loon Lake

At the Oct.2016 Communities Meeting, it was determined that a main focus for this year would be breaking the code of silence that surrounds drug and alcohol usage in our area.

Therefore, there is a walk scheduled for Oct. 12 at 2 pm. leaving from the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation Band Office.

The walk is to bring awareness that silence is not an option and that we have to say no to drugs and alcohol if we wish to create a healthy and safe community.

The local RCMP, ambulance, and a hearse will lead the parade.
