Sask. Rush welcoming rival Calgary Roughnecks for showcase game
The Saskatchewan Rush professional lacrosse team is gearing up for a showcase game tomorrow against rival Calgary Roughnecks.
Last season, the two teams met a combined six times between the regular season and playoffs with the Rush coming away victorious in each of those games.
The Friday, Dec. 16 game is meant to get people pumped up for the home opener on Jan. 21 and to wrap up the team’s third training camp according to President Lee Genier.
“We’ll have some mini camps after that but we open on the road in Atlanta on Jan. 7, so it’s a quick turnaround,” he said.
