Traffic stop leads to discovery off 44 marijuana packets, machete
Loon Lake RCMP have arrested and charged a man with several offences, after a routine traffic stop revealed a large quantity of marijuana and a dangerous weapon.
On Jan. 23 at approximately 4 p.m., members of the Loon Lake Detachment conducted a traffic stop on Highway #699, west of Loon Lake, Sk.
The investigation revealed the driver of the vehicle did not possess a valid driver’s license, and the member detected an odour of what was believed to be marijuana.
The RCMP then searched the vehicle and 44 packages of marihuana and a large machete were found inside the vehicle.
