Tech Camp for Kids

Level Up Kids, Canada’s first kids coding and tech camp, offers three day mini-camps across Canada -Canadian kids coding camp invites media and their kids to participate in three day mini-camps-

Level Up Kids, an engaging day camp for seven to fifteen year old kids, focuses on teaching technological skills in a creative, kid-friendly learning environment. The camp is organizing two three-day mini-camps on July 4-7 and July 31 – August 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (one day camp option available as well) for media and their kids to sample two of the twelve programs that will be offered during the summer sessions.  Level Up Kids encourages the next generation of Steve Jobs, Bill Gates and Sheryl Sandberg while incorporating a balance of high-energy outdoor games and a variety of fun camp activities, and has twenty camps in locations across Canada, United States and Trinidad and Tobago. We want the media to send their kids for a fun three days where they can get a taste for Minecraft Adventure and Coding Girls,” said Jeff Hughes, Founder of Level Up Kids. “These two programs teach kids the fundamentals while encouraging entrepreneurship and empowerment and most of all – having fun!

Level Up Kids’ unique programs will teach vital skills including problem solving, abstract and quantitative reasoning, viable argument construction, mathematics modeling, strategic thinking, application of tools, precision and attention to detail. With twenty locations across Canada, Minnesota and Trinidad, children receive personalized instruction with a 10:1 student to instructor ratio.

The two programs that will be offered during the mini-camps, Minecraft Adventure and Coding Girls, give campers a chance to learn programming languages, such as HTML, CSS and Python and the fundamentals of game programming concepts in an environment that encourages positive learning for all children. Minecraft Adventure teaches kids how to build their own virtual worlds from the ground up and go beyond simple gameplay. Coding Girls allows tech savvy-girls to learn the fundamentals of hardware and software in close-knit groups focused on working together to achieve goals and bring their big ideas to life.Space is limited, please contact Jessica@glocommunications.ca for for details

Other programs offered during the summer sessions are Intro to Programming, Game Design and Development, Robotics Camp, YouTube Camp, Host your Own Minecraft Video Show, Mobile Game Maker, Adventures in Programming, Intro to Java Coding: Modding with Minecraft and Forge, Intro to Web Design and Startup Labs.
