See Video of Sophie Below

Sophie is a young female Husky mix.

We believe she is just a year old. She was rescued from a community where dogs were packing up and creating an unsafe situation for the public.

Sophie is a very sweet and friendly girl. She is great with other dogs and cats. She is best buddies with Aries (and may have been sisters).

Sophie is a very affectionate girl and loves attention.

She was spayed on December 13th.

Sophie was a lucky girl and got to go into a foster home for a few days over the Christmas holidays.

The foster home says, ” She was a bit timid at first but came out of her shell quickly. She seems to prefer being outside but this is likely due to never having spent much time indoors in her previous life. She shared the home with another male dog who is about the same age. She enjoyed play time with him though we’ve learned she is food and treat aggressive so will need to be watched if adopted to a home with another dog that they are fed separately and treats/bones are not left down unless the other dog is submissive and will give it up to her. She is very agreeable and really wants to please. She has had no accidents in the house but hasn’t had extended of periods inside without them going out to play so a new home will still need to watch and possible give her some house training yet. She is very quiet and we haven’t heard her bark yet. She has a bit of a whine when we coax her inside and the cutest happy feet dance. She is very food driven so can be likely be trained easily using treats. She loves to be pet and cuddled and eats up the attention. She had a great night in the kennel and has had no accidents in the house. She whined when she first went in the kennel but when Oreo went and laid beside the crate they both settled for the night. They seem to get along really good outside of the food issue. When around us she is so gentle and kind. They shared the toys well in the house and even outside played great.”
