‘A rejection of reality:’ Wall says carbon tax decision ignores Trump
The premier of Saskatchewan has suggested a recent first minister’s meeting felt like it could have happened in an alternate universe.
Back in the province Tuesday, Brad Wall told 650 CKOM host John Gormley it seemed Prime Minister Justin Trudeau didn’t know the U.S. elected a new president on Nov. 8.
“Perhaps it’s a rejection of the reality, or a refusal to accept that things changed in the U.S. a couple weeks ago – whether we like it or not,” he said.
The meeting saw the federal government and all provinces, except Saskatchewan and Manitoba, sign on to a national price on carbon.
