Saskatchewan prepares for summer price surge at the pumps
Drivers across Saskatchewan have been enjoying lower gas prices this summer, but that could soon change.
GasBuddy.com predicted Thursday there will be a gas price surge in Calgary, Edmonton, Regina and Saskatoon sometime in the coming days.
“I would think that in Regina, for instance, 93 cents a litre (will be) going up to 98 cents a litre, about a five-cent increase,” said Dan McTeague, senior petroleum analyst with GasBuddy.com.
Gas prices in Saskatoon and Regina have been in the low 90 cent per litre range for most of the summer.
