Saskatchewan reports 252 new cases of COVID-19 and eight more deaths
Eight more people who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. The Government of Saskatchewan reported the new deaths, along with 252 new cases of the virus Saturday.
Two of the deaths reported Saturday were in the North Central zone, which includes Prince Albert, with one in the 50-59 age group and the other in the 60-69 age group.
Three new deaths in the 70-79 age group were reported in the Saskatoon (one) and Regina (two) zones. Three new deaths in the 80+ age group were reported in the Saskatoon (one), Regina (one) and South Central (one) zones.
The 252 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Saskatchewan on Dec. 19, bring the provincial total to date to 13,329 cases, 3,762 of those are considered active. There were also 218 new recoveries reported on Saturday.
