Province reports 124 new cases of COVID-19, 189 recoveries
The provincial total of COVID-19 cases has reached 26,953 cases with 124 new cases reported in the province on Feb. 17. The North accounted for 51 of the new cases.
Five Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. One death was reported in the 30-39 age group from the Saskatoon zone, one death was reported in 50-59 age group from the Regina zone, and three deaths were reported in the 80+ age group from the North West (one), Regina (one) and Saskatoon (one) zones.
The new cases located in the north are in the Far North West (16), Far North Central (four), Far North East (five), North West (14), and North Central (12), and seven (seven) new cases have pending residence information.
