Obituary for Ron Budd
July 13, 1944 – March 3, 2021
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Ron Budd, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, father in-law, brother in-law, cousin, teacher and friend. He passed peacefully after a short but courageous battle with cancer, with family by his side.
Ron’s family was everything to him. Many memorable hours were spent playing games (cards, board games, outdoor games), fishing and boating. Ron and Gail were fortunate to have enjoyed many travel experiences with family and friends. Sports were also a big part of Ron’s life, especially curling and fastball. Ron’s faith was very important to him as it guided him through his life.
Ron was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Mary, his brother Reg and other close family members.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Gail; sons Loren (Rhonda) and Scott (Coral); daughter Tamara (Mike); Chinese son Jim (Lynsey); grandchildren Alexa, Jazmin, Carter, Ryder, Paxton, Cohen, Ethan, Eric and Lily; sisters Lee and Shirley and numerous other extended family.
There will be a private funeral for Ron on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at St. Boniface Church in Goodsoil. Due to Covid restrictions, the funeral will be livestreamed.
Donations in Ron’s Memory can be made to: Royal University Hospital Unit 6100 or Sask K of C Charitable Foundation.
