207 new cases, two deaths and 125 COVID recoveries reported in the province
The province reported 207 new cases of COVID-19 in the province today bringing the provincial total up to 29,432 cases. Prince Albert and North Battleford are among six communities in the province who will receive distributions of 15,500 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine next week.
The province also reported that two Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. One death was reported in the 60-69 age group from the Regina zone, and one death was reported in the 80+ age group from the Saskatoon zone.
The new cases in northern Saskatchewan are located in the Far North West (23), Far North Central (two), Far North East (13), North West (20), North Central (13), and North East (eight). Ten cases are pending residence information and four cases with pending residence information were assigned to the North Central zone. Five cases tested out-of-province were Saskatchewan residents and added to the counts.
