Tammy Wigton, Festival Organizer, said bringing the community together for another outdoor event ahead of colder weather serves to help reduce the social anxiety brought on by a year of lockdowns and distancing.

“Once you walk on to the streets that are blocked off, it just hits you like a wave. It’s exhilarating,” she said.

“It’s like no other feeling you’ve ever experienced when you hear the live music, people are out and the community is together.”

The festival grounds will also be open to people who would like to be immunized.

Meadow Lake MLA Jeremy Harrison is expected to be in attendance where he will address the community ahead of the festivities and join the community for the affair.

Wigton noted last year’s event was impacted by health restrictions. With very few guidelines being mandated this time around, more attractions serve to complete a more robust family friendly experience.

She added the festival has a few vendor vacancies. Anyone who would like to set up a booth at the event can contact Ambroziak at for more information.

Wigton mentioned looking forward to seeing the event come together so the community can unite and have a pleasant experience.

“I can’t even explain what it feels like to be out at that type of event. It’s so close knit, so everybody feels comfortable for them to come and enjoy the open air.”
