April 16, The Vanier Way – A new show, entitled “The Vanier Way” premieres April 16 at 11 pm on EWTN Global Catholic Network. He has been called the ‘Mother Teresa’ of those with special needs with communities established all over the world. In the spring of 2015, a documentary crew followed 10 students from Jean Vanier Catholic High in Milton Ontario to meet their school’s namesake, philosopher and L’Arche founder, Jean Vanier in Trosly, France. The students were immersed in L’Arche culture, working, sharing meals, stories and songs with core members. In this truly moving story, Jean Vanier teaches the students the true meaning of servant leadership. Produced by EWTN in association with DunnMedia & Entertainment. Two promo videos are available:

April 17, Stew and Bannock Fundraiser, Prince Albert – The Knights of Columbus and Society of St. Vincent de Paul both provide service to the poor and marginalized in our city. In 2013, 209 homes were visited and 60 food hampers were given. Services were similar in 2014 and 2015. Please join us for a stew and bannock supper on April 17 at 5:00pm at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Advance tickets are $10/adults, $8/ages 7-18, children under 6 are free. Tickets are $12 at the door. There will be a silent auction and 50/50 draw. April 23, Prince Albert Catholic Education Foundation Supper – The Spring Gala and silent auction will be held on April 23 at St. Mary High School. Cocktails at 6:30pm, dinner at 7:00pm.
