Province reports 108 new cases of COVID-19, one new death

The Government of Saskatchewan is reporting 108 new cases of COVID-19 in the province.

The new cases in northern Saskatchewan are located in the Far North East (one), North West (eight), North Central (19), North East (two), and three new cases have pending residence information.

In total, 1,017 cases are considered active and 78,842 cases are considered recovered. Almost one-third (32.4 per cent) of new cases are in the age category of 11 or under. One-half (50.7 per cent) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 12 years and older) was fully vaccinated.

As of November 26, overall there have been 143 individuals hospitalized; including 102 inpatient hospitalizations, and 41 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 143 patients, 94 (65.7 per cent) were not fully vaccinated.

There are six residents receiving out of province care in hospital. As these patients are receiving care out of province, this number is not included in the hospitalization counts in the dashboard.

There is one new death reported today for a total of 916 Saskatchewan residents who have died from COVID-19 with a case fatality rate of 1.1 per cent.

So far in Saskatchewan, there has been a reported 4,317 doses of vaccine administered in the five to 11 age range (Far North West 42; Far North Central 7; Far North East 53; North West 149; North Central 161; North East 81; Saskatoon 1,847; Regina 1,390; Central West 60; Central East 148; South West 65; South Central 112; South East 167). The five to 11 vaccination data will be added to the COVID-19 dashboard next week. Note: 11 year olds who will turn 12 in 2021, previously reported in the 12 to 17 category, are now included in the five to 11 category.

NITHA data

As of Nov. 25, there are no new cases to report in NITHA communities.

There are 30 active cases of COVID-19.

These cases are located in the Far North Central (Athabasca), 0; Far North West, 12; Far North East, six; North Central, 12; and North East, 0.

There are 6,843 cases (99 per cent) that have recovered, and one person is hospitalized.
