Saskatchewan Country Closeup – Justin LaBrash
Justin has played in venues from Vancouver to Newfoundland to the Northwest Territories and many points in between. While most of their time is spent performing gigs in Saskatchewan, word is getting out into the other provinces and when schedules permit they love to get out and experience all that this beautiful country can offer!
He has performed at many festivals and events, including Craven Country Jamboree/Country Thunder Saskatchewan, Rogers Hometown Hockey, Agribition, Last Mountain Rodeo, The 5 Acre Shaker, Hillbilly Boogie Festival, The Hank Snow Tribute Festival, regular appearances at the Boot Scootin’ Boogie Dancehall in Edmonton and also the Diamonds In The Rough showcase at the Canadian Country Music Awards.
Karissa’s passion for singing is rooted in her childhood as far back as she can remember, along with her desire to care for people. In 2018, Karissa graduated from the U of R with her Nursing Degree and is currently working in Lumsden, Saskatchewan. Karissa has performed on many stages throughout her short career, Casino Regina, Telemiracle, Main Stage at Craven Jamboree (now known as Country Thunder). Karissa also had the incredible opportunity to open for Doc Walker at Krugofest in Regina, Saskatchewan in July of 2021.
Karissa was a final nominee for “Emerging Artist” at the Saskatchewan Country Music Association Awards in 2021. She has nine songs out on all digital streaming platforms with 5 official music videos up on YouTube. Her very first EP album titled “Life of Mine” was released in October of 2020.
