Province reports 1,158 new cases, no new deaths

The Government of Saskatchewan reported 1,158 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, along with 1,092 recoveries.

The new cases in northern Saskatchewan were found in the Far North West (10), Far North East (18), North West (54), North Central (42), North East (13), and 113 new cases have pending residence information.

There are also no new deaths to report.

Of the new cases, 221 were unvaccinated, 57 had received their first dose, 637 were fully vaccinated (more than 14 days since their second dose) and 243 were fully vaccinated and more than 14 days from receiving their booster dose.

Currently, there are 11,973 cases considered active.

There are 215 people in hospital, including 23 in ICU. Of those in hospital, 74 were not fully vaccinated.

The province also states 90 of the inpatient cases are related to COVID-19, 88 are incidental and 14 are not determined. Of the 23 people in ICU 15 have COVID-19, six are incidental and two are undetermined.

NITHA data

There are 37 new cases to report in NITHA communities.

Of the new cases, 11 (30 per cent) are not vaccinated; seven (19 per cent) are partially vaccinated; 17 (46 per cent) are fully vaccinated, and two (five per cent) are not eligible for vaccination.

There are 188 active cases of COVID-19 in NITHA communities. These cases are found in the Far North Central (Athabasca), eight; Far North West, 35; Far North East, 95; North Central, 20; and North East, 30.

There are 7,108 cases (97 per cent) that have recovered, and there are zero hospitalizations.
