Coast 2 Coast Closeup – Doug Folkins

Doug Folkins is a signed artist/songwriter with Nashville publisher Lynn Gann Music Enterprises.

More than 100 of his songs have been recorded by artists in the US & Canada, along with 50+ radio singles and multiple Film and TV song placements, including NBC’s “The Voice”.

Doug co-writes with many Nashville hit makers and recognized Canadian artists such as Aaron Goodvin, Don Amero, and James Barker.

Doug’s new single is “6 Pack Town”. Says Doug: I wrote this song with Aidan and Mike from the awesome Canadian Country band, Buck Twenty   The guys from Buck Twenty are even featured on the track singing background harmonies and playing banjo. We wanted to create a fun, up-tempo song that would pay tribute to all the blue collar working towns out there. For me this song pays homage to my hometown where I grew up in rural New Brunswick and the town where I’ve made my home on Vancouver Island.
